Who we are
Modo Remoto (https://nomadaespanol.com) is an independent editorial site about remote work, operated by Surper (surper.es). You can get in touch by email through the Surper website with any question about this policy.
What data we process
This site does not require registration and does not collect personal data to work. Browsing automatically generates basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) through our own cookies and, if you accept advertising, third-party cookies.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Technical preference cookie (localStorage) | Remember your choice on the cookie banner | Permanent until you delete it |
| Language preference (lang_pref) | Remember whether you prefer Spanish or English | 1 year |
| Google AdSense | Contextual advertising and, if you accept, personalized advertising | Per Google's policy |
Google's third-party cookies only load if you accept advertising on the cookie banner. If you choose "Essentials only", no third-party cookies are loaded and only non-personalized ads are served where the law allows it.
Advertising with Google AdSense
This site shows ads managed by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's ad settings, or change your cookie choice at any time from the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of this page.
Affiliate links (Amazon)
A small number of articles about home-office equipment include affiliate links from the Amazon EU Associates Program, clearly labelled "Affiliate link". If you buy through those links, Modo Remoto may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent to non-essential cookies at any time by deleting your browser cookies or changing your choice on the banner. You can also file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) if you believe your rights have not been respected.
Outbound links
Links to the official websites of the tools and platforms we mention are neutral, informational links (rel="nofollow"), except for the Amazon affiliate links explicitly labelled as such. We are not responsible for the privacy policy or commercial terms of those external sites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect legal or technical changes. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page.
